18th International Triennial of Textile

From 11th October 2025- 12th April 2026, the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź hosted the 18th International Triennial of Textile – the largest and oldest event in the world dedicated to contemporary textile art, curated by Marta Kowalewska and Bukola Oyebode-Westerhuis.

Anekanta (2025) was selected out of over 1600 entries from an open call, based on the theme Deconstruction/Reconstruction.

This year’s theme reflects the tensions and transformations of the contemporary world – both socially and culturally. It is a theme that not only addresses current issues – the redefinition of norms, value systems, and identities – but also engages with a broader philosophical discourse. After all, deconstruction can be understood as a way of critically reading reality, opening the field for new narratives.
